Rui Fernandes, coordinator for EPOS GNSS Data and Products will be speaking about improving GNSS data and products infrastructure in Europe at II Lusophone Conference on Sciences and Technologies of Geographic Information - CTIG 2017 and IV Brazilian Symposium on Geomatics - SBG 2017.
The event, organized by Cartography Department of Unesp and FCT, occurs on July 24th to 26th 2017 at Presidente Prudente, São Paulo, Brazil.
At Geodesy roundtable, Fernandes will take the opportunity to explain what is exactly EPOS GNSS Data and Products and its objective, such as establishing services that allow access to national and pan-European infrastructures focused on geodesic data. He will also reveal the relation between geodesic component and the implementation of an infrastructure to store and disseminate permanent GNSS data and its related products.
Moreover, Fernandes will state about the efforts focused on the development of geodesic tools, to support researches in Solid Earth, by optimizing existent resources.
It is an event for presenting and discussing the status of thematic core services (TCS) implementation for GNSS data and derived products (time series, velocities and strains) through EPOS.
Fernandes will explain the tools and web services being developed for high-end solution implementation, which will allow user-end, in particular, geoscientists, accessing geodesic data, associated metadata, by using transparent and standard methods.
Rui Fernandes having been asked to attend this event by Unesp and he is travelling to Brazil supported by sponsorships already established by Unesp for II Lusophone Conference on Sciences and Technologies of Geographic Information - CTIG 2017 and IV Brazilian Symposium on Geomatics SBG – 2017.
